China Compulsory Certificate system
Products imported by the People's Republic of China conform to domestic technology standard. The Chinese government examines products and certifies whether or not they meet standards for import.
In conjunction with the Government of China joining the WTO, since August 1, 2004, the country adopted a mandatory certification system(CCC) for 159 types of products and 22 types of components that require high levels of safety such as electrical products, telecommunications equipment, automotive safety equipment. This requires products applicable to the certification system to be examined by a Chinese national institution for export to China.
